The Monroe Foundation is a publicly supported not-for-profit community
and enterprise development intermediary that seeks to educate, link and 
fund community and economic development projects working within 
low-income communities in that State of Illinois.

technical assistance in starting
community and economic
development projects within
low-income communities, and
provide emerging groups with
seed grants through the
PACT Project (Partnership For
Assisting  Community 
Transformation).

The Monroe Foundation provides small business development seminars through the small business development "Boot Camp" Program, funded by a grant from Citibank


The Foundation supports small business start-up and financing 
through lending partnerships with Marquette Bank, and 
US Bank. Our current supporters are Bank of America, 
Citibank, Marquette Bank, PNC Bank, US Bank, Field Foundation 
of Illinois, and Woods Fund of Chicago.
